La casa Hermida – Reyes es resultante del reciclaje de materiales con que contaban sus propietarios ya que, en el terreno ubicado en la playa Pichilemu existía una casa que ha sido demolida, siendo un estricto requerimiento el reutilizar los materiales que fueran rescatables.
Sobre esto se recuperan ventanas, puertas, y materiales de revestimiento interior que nos dan el parámetro de recintos y modulaciones a trabajar tanto interior como exteriormente.
Los mandantes son una pareja de adultos mayores que desean realizar su vida de jubilación en la costa, manteniendo independencia y comodidad en los recintos, asimismo, solicitan contar con espacio para recibir a sus hijos esporádicamente en habitaciones matrimoniales independientes.
La casa se plantea como un micro volumen que contiene todo lo necesario para funcionar sin aumentar costos en instalaciones, por lo tanto, todas las áreas húmedas de la casa y cañerías se centralizaron, manteniendo en el primer piso hacia un extremo el área social con living, comedor y cocina con muebles empotrados para liberar lo máximo posible el espacio.
Luego el área privada de los propietarios es dividida por la escalera que media de filtro entre ambos extremos, y que cuenta con el dormitorio principal, baño principal y baño de visita a un costado del acceso a la vivienda.
Al segundo piso se accede por la escalera que es iluminada cenitalmente, en donde se encuentran tres habitaciones matrimoniales con escritorios y un baño compartido, todas con vista al mar.
La vivienda se encuentra suspendida 1 mt. sobre el nivel natural del terreno para atrapar las vistas lejanas, accediendo a ella por medio de una larga rampa de baja inclinación.
La casa es completamente estructurada en madera, y revestida en zinc emballetado pintado de negro, al igual que las pantallas de cerramiento y protección dispuestas en cada ventana.
Por otra parte, la terraza exterior también suspendida, aumenta en volumetría la vivienda.

Hermida – Reyes House
The Hermida – Reyes house is the result of the recycling of materials that its owners had since, on the land located on Pichilemu beach there was a house that has been demolished, being a strict requirement to reuse the materials that were salvageable.
On this, windows, doors, and interior cladding materials are recovered that give us the parameter of enclosures and modulations to work both internally and externally.
The constituents are an elderly couple who wish to carry out their retirement life on the coast, maintaining independence and comfort in the enclosures, likewise, they request to have space to receive their children sporadically in independent matrimonial rooms for each of their three children and their partners.
The house is considered as a micro volume that contains everything necessary to function without increasing costs in facilities, therefore, all the humid areas of the house and pipes were centralized, keeping the social area with living room on the first floor towards one end. , dining room and kitchen with built-in furniture to free up space as much as possible.
Then the private area of the owners is divided by the staircase that filters between both ends, and that has the main bedroom, main bathroom and guest bathroom on one side of the access to the house.
The second floor is accessed by the staircase that is illuminated from above, where there are three double bedrooms with desks and a shared bathroom, all with ocean views.
The house is suspended 1 mt. on the natural level of the terrain to catch the views towards the sea, accessing it through a long ramp with low inclination.
The house is completely structured in wood, and clad in black tiled zinc, as well as the enclosure and protection screens arranged in each window.
On the other hand, the outdoor terrace, also suspended, increases the volume of the house.
